For over five decades, Dependable Emergency Vehicles has been a leader in custom fire apparatus. We bring quality and innovation to fire departments across North America.

1975-1980

Foundation and Early Growth

In 1975, we began as a reliable repair center for trucks and tanks. To better serve our clients, we opened Dependable Fire Equipment in 1980. That same year, we built our first custom pumper for Brampton Fire, starting our journey in fire truck manufacturing.

1995-2020

Brand Evolution and Expansion

We rebranded in 1995 with a new logo to show the strength of our combined truck and emergency vehicle services. By 2020, we opened a major showroom across from our factory. This office and display area help us better showcase our high-quality trucks to every visitor.

2023

Diversification and Enhanced Service

In 2023, we launched Dependable Equipment to provide top-quality fuel and propane gear for various industries. We also added a laser center to speed up production. That same year, we opened new Keltic service centers in North Bay and Woodstock to grow our support network.

2024

National Growth and Service Expansion

To support our East Coast customers, we opened a new location in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, in 2024. This service hub allows us to provide faster, local support to our clients in the region. We continue our long legacy of providing exceptional care for every vehicle.

2025

Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence

In 2025, we celebrate a major milestone of 50 years in service. We have built a strong reputation as a leader in the Canadian emergency vehicle industry. Our team remains dedicated to providing durable, high-performance apparatus that helps protect our communities every day.
